10 interview questions and how to answer them

Most interviews use the same handful of questions. Prepare short answers and you will feel much more confident.

  1. Tell me about yourself. 3–4 lines: education, experience, and why this job.
  2. Why do you want this job? Talk about the work, not just the salary.
  3. What are your strengths? Pick two and give a real example.
  4. What is your weakness? A real one you are working on.
  5. Why did you leave your last job? Stay positive; never blame your old boss.
  6. Where do you see yourself in 3 years? Growing in this field.
  7. Can you work in shifts / travel? Answer honestly.
  8. What salary do you expect? Give a range based on similar jobs in your city.
  9. When can you join? Mention your notice period.
  10. Do you have any questions? Always ask one — about the work, the team or training.
